Terms of Sales Xtreme Sports
Article 1.
Cancellation Policy
Booking online is the only way to secure your reservation and your equipment will be ready and waiting for you upon your arrival in Verbier.
If you cancel your reservation within more than 48 hours notice, we will be happy to refund you the full amount.
If you cancel your reservation within more than 24 hours notice, we will refund 50% of the rental value.
No refund will be accepted if the reservation is not canceled 24 hours in advance.
Article 2.
The customer is responsible for his rental gear. In case of non-return of the equipment, the customer will be charged with the cost of new equipment plus the rental charges.
Article 3.
Our equipment is maintained in good condition, suitable for normal use and should not be used for any other purpose. All equipment bearing an identification mark and/or number must be returned with the same identification mark and/or number. Any deterioration beyond the normal use of the equipment will oblige the client to pay the total amount of the repairs, or in case of irreversible damage, the price of the equipment at the cost of new plus the rental charges.
Article 4.
The rental gear must be used only by the person named in the rental contract and must not be re-let or loaned to third parties.
Article 5.
Skis and snowboards are insured against loss, theft, or accidental damages in the mountains without extra charge in case of a claim (referred to here as “insurance”). All other rented equipment is not insured.
The insurance covers the client for any loss or theft of their equipment within the ski area provided that the necessary precautions have been taken to avoid loss or theft of the equipment. The insurance also covers any accidental damage within the limits of the ski area, as part of normal use of the equipment.
The insurance does not cover the equipment in case of theft outside the ski area (for example a bar terrace in town). It also does not cover damages caused by careless or inappropriate use of the equipment (e.g. crossing a road on skis)
If a loss or theft happen within the ski area, the client must immediately inform the store, and if a theft happen, report it to the nearest police station within 24 hours of the incident.
The customer takes responsibility for any eventuality not covered by insurance.
Article 6.
The duration of the rental is fixed for a determinated period on the rental contract. Each payable day starts at 8am and ends at 7pm. The rental period cannot be changed without confirmation from the rental store. Each rental day is subject to the published rate. In the case of reservations made online on the website, the date indicated as the start date of the stay will be the day on which the rental charges will apply.
Article 7.
Identification and/or a photocopy of a credit card may be required to complete the rental agreement.
Article 8.
The customer having previously provided a credit card number or photocopy thereof authorizes and gives permission to the store to charge the appropriate amount on his/her card to settle any amount due for non-payment of a rental, missing equipment, when/if equipment returned requires non-contractual repair (according to published rates).
Article 9.
The information requested when opening a rental contract will allow us to serve you better. It is mandatory to answer all questions except those marked as optional. Your personal information will only be used by the rental store and will never be distributed or sold to a third party.
You have the right to access, modify, correct or delete your personal data as stipulated by law. Please ask the rental store to exercise this right.
Article 10.
Payment for rented equipment must be received on the day of the payment date. Penalties for late payment will be applied at 1.5 times the general interest rate.
Article 11.
In the case of any disputes arising from this contract, the court of competent jurisdiction nearest to the point of rental shall be the Small Claims Court.
